Mourning Parents ACT, Inc.
What is !MPACT?
Mourning Parents ACT, Inc., also known as !MPACT, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to eliminate tragedies caused by inexperienced drivers through awareness, education and legislation.

Who are the founders of !MPACT?
!MPACT was co-founded by Connie and Tom Jascowski, and Joe Klett, whose 16-yr-old son Joey was killed in an automobile accident in Columbia, CT on December 17, 2002; Sherry Chapman, whose 19-yr-old son Ryan was killed by a teen driver in Hebron, CT on December 7, 2002; and Janice Palmer, whose 17-yr-old son Dan, along with two of his senior classmates, was killed in Glastonbury, CT on December 6, 2002.

Each of the founders are Directors of Mourning Parents ACT, Inc., and each volunteer their personal time and resources to advance the mission of the organization.

What does !MPACT do?
!MPACT has developed a teen driver safety program in which members share their experiences in a powerfully emotional presentation that not only has an immediate effect on students, but makes a lasting impression on them.  Feedback from attendees indicates that this program effectively reduces risky driving/riding behavior in teens.

!MPACT has also developed a program for parents, educators and law enforcement officials; and is working with legislators to advance legislation that will protect teen drivers, their passengers and the people who share the roads with them.

Would you like !MPACT to present at your school or organization?
If you would like !MPACT to visit your school or organization, please contact us.  There is no fee to high schools, however monetary donations to advance the mission of !MPACT are welcome.
