Joey DuMouchel
Jun. 26, 1986 -- Dec. 17, 2002

Joey was killed on December 17, 2002 while driving home from school. He was going 56 in a 35-mile-per- hour speed limit zone. He drove over a hill and swerved to avoid hitting a woman walking her dog in the road. Joey lost control of his car after hitting black ice and sand, and he hit two trees.  Joey's friend and passenger, Eric, survived the accident.

Newington (CT) Dedication Stone for Joey

Windham High Dedication Stone For Joey
On June 24, 2004, Joey's class at Windham High School in Windham, Connecticut graduated. In memory of Joey, all of the graduates wore pins with Joey's picture on them. Almost all of the speeches mentioned Joey and there was a dedication section in the yearbook that several of his classmates signed. The gift that the graduating class of 2004 left to the school was a beautiful dedication plaque mounted on a stone with Joey's name on it. It is placed at the baseball field.
